Introduction of anesthesia vaporizer

As a important part of the anesthesia machine, the anesthesia vaporizer can accurately inject the anesthetic into the circuit absorber according to the specified concentration, and mix it with the corresponding proportion of oxygen or air to form an inhaled anesthetic gas.

Commonly used anesthesia vaporizer are sevoflurane,isoflurane,halothane vaporizer.

The vaporizer is generally with temperature compensation function, pressure and flow compensation function, which can meet the needs of different situations.

Temperature compensation
There is a temperature compensation device in the evaporator. With the change of temperature, the temperature compensation device also changes, and the dilution rate also changes with the purpose of compensation to keep the output concentration stable.

Pressure and flow compensation
The spiral air channel is composed of a helical tube and a material with strong adsorption, so that the carrier gas has a larger contact area to mix with the evaporated gas when it flows in it, so that when the flow rate increases, it can also compensate for the change of the evaporated gas due to the increase of the carrier gas. The phenomenon of dilute, thus ensuring the constant output concentration of anesthetics and ensuring the safety of clinical use.
Precautions for use of anesthesia vaporizer
1.Filling anesthetic
When filling the anesthetic, open the injection port and pour the correct anesthetic. Pay attention to observe the liquid level in the display window, and the perfusion volume cannot exceed the maximum volume mark. If it is overfilled, it should be discharged. After filling, turn the injection cock clockwise until it no longer rotates. Do not tighten it too hard.
2.Discharge anesthetic
For the discharge of anesthetics, press the concentration dial, turn it clockwise to the lock point, and close the vaporizer. Place the mouth of the recovery container under the discharge port, and then unscrew the discharge cock counterclockwise, and the anesthetics can be seen to be discharged from the discharge port. When no more anesthetic is discharged from the discharge port, it indicates that the discharge is completed except for the anesthetic on the anesthetic core. Then tighten the discharge cock clockwise to close the discharge port.

Other precautions
1. Before each use of the vaporizer, the same anesthetic as the vaporizer must be filled as required, and the anesthetic liquid level should be within the range of the indicator window.
2. Do not use two or more anesthetics in one vaporizer
3. Do not disassemble the precision vaporizer.
